ID.me is seeking a Senior Technical Architect to work in the Office of the CTO. The Senior Technical Architect should have domain expertise with respect to identity proofing, multifactor authentication, and identity and access management (IAM), and/or Attribute Based Access Control (ABAC). We are looking for a strategic, technical architect willing to get hands on when necessary who possesses a sound understanding of immense scale, ultra-high performance, innovation in security and an obsession for engineering excellence. A successful candidate will be responsible for the scalability, security, and flexibility of ID.me’s cloud-hosted Identity Gateway.
ID.me’s platform supports multiple verticals, including Federal Government, State Government, Healthcare, Financial Services, and E-Commerce, so an ideal Senior Technical Architect will have the intellectual agility to support the authentication and security requirements of different vertical owners. Currently, ID.me is responsible for providing critical functionality in support of important populations; for example, ID.me is responsible for administering identity proofing and multifactor authentication to Veterans for remote access to benefits and services from Veterans Affairs. Five more federal agencies are also integrating our technology so American citizens can securely access important government benefits and services online.
Our vision is to transform the way users login online by providing portable, trusted logins from many different identity providers (not Facebook and Google) so individuals have agency and control over their personal data. Our end state is an internet where individuals pick one login providers of their choice and then use that login across multiple websites without having to create a new login or undergo redundant data entry or identity verification steps at each website in a silo.
Preferred Education & Experience

We like to keep it loose in the office. While wearing pants is encouraged (legal constraints), there are very few rules in our company. We look for nice, accountable, mission-driven people who work hard, learn fast and don’t mind taking risks -- even if that means failing sometimes. We want fun and friendly co-workers who are committed to winning.
